National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) has also been authorised to supervise collection of monthly wholesale price data along with excise-duty and trade discount for select items with appropriate specifications from factories surveyed for Annual Survey of Industries under Collection of Statistics Act 2008, on behalf of Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). All factories/units establishments are requested to coperate with NSSO, if approached by NSSO, in this regard.
